Park “Valley of Roses” is located on the bank of the Kremenchuk Reservoir, only five hundred meters from the city center of Cherkasy. This park is the most favorite leisure area for both the local residents and the visitors of the city. It is located at the foot of the Hill of Glory.

The park covers an area of 5.1 hectares. Here you can enjoy the coolness of one of the mini-lakes or fountains, stroll along the winding alleys, have a rest on a bench. In the evening the lights are lit up along the alleys. The park is one of the most popular places for holding city-wide celebrations and events. On weekends, you can go to a festival, a celebration or a concert.

In 2012, a huge sundial was installed in the park. The diameter of the dial plate is fifteen meters. Originality and main difference of this watch from the analogues installed in other cities of Ukraine is that its big hand is made in the form of a stork, and the dial is decorated with wrought-iron chairs. The total number of chairs made of bronze is twelve. Since 2016 a new fountain of “dry” type has been worked in the Valley of Roses. Such a fountain is unique as it does not contain a pool with water, but it has the appearance of an open area and everyone can walk between jets of water. The park offers a magical view of the Dnieper.
